Overwhelming Radio Response to Canadian Women's Foundation Text to Donate Campaign
Mobile Giving proves to be an effective means to operationalize a Radio based Call to Action
The Canadian Women's Foundation (CWF) wanted to test mobile giving as part of a national fundraising campaign to end violence against women and looked to ZipGive to facilitate their text to donate program.
The goal of the month-long campaign was to solicit Canadians to take "just 1 act" to help save a woman from abuse, with one of the "acts" being a $5 text donation
The text donation option was promoted via print, radio, out-of-home (bus shelters, bar/restaurant ads etc.), social media, and at a Toronto Raptors game. CWF also allocated different keywords to different marketing mediums in order to track the performance and response rates.
CWF raised $6,250 with an overwhelming number of the text donations being made in response to radio promotion.
Through the Mobile Giving Foundation, Registered Charities such as CWF leverage the pervasiveness of mobile devices to expand donor opportunities and cultivate new donor segments, thereby creating permission based ongoing donor and volunteer interactions.
